You do not need to know what it is called. Begin with what you feel, see or notice or have experienced, and find a way forward.
Start where you are
Start here if your periods have changed, you have significant pain or bleeding, or you notice changes throughout your cycle.
This may involve discharge, odour, itching, burning, pain or another change you have noticed.
Start here if you use contraception, are considering it or are worried you might be pregnant.
This could concern testing, protection, pain, consent or something you experienced.
It might involve stress, anxiety, sadness, body image pressure or feeling overwhelmed.
Start here if eating, body image or exercise has become difficult or is affecting how you feel.
Start here if someone pressured you, crossed a boundary or did something you did not want.
Learn about respect, peer pressure and responsibility for your own behaviour. This applies to girls and boys.
Start here if someone asks for intimate images, has shared something, pressures you or threatens you online.
It may involve a partner, friends, family, pressure, control or feeling excluded.
Start here if you have noticed a physical change that you want to understand.
Start here if you want to speak with a healthcare professional but are unsure where to go, what will happen or what your parents will be told.
